Lego set 21245

Minecraft sword
So all my kids are playing minecraft. While building with my 1.5-yo I built him a minecraft sword from memory

And it turned out reasonably well, according to my nephew and kids.

So I went to Lego any made this. I was surprised that all Lego minecraft swords I could find were studs-up, which allowed for more accurate depiction, but I think a more fragile build that requires more pieces.

Building the sword from the hilt up seems to be more minecraft-y. Obviously when using basic bricks I can't put the bricks side by side, because they will float in the air and be unsturdy, so you get a sort of "leaking" from layer to layer which I did with plates.

But the bricks are still located correctly.
So I put it to you - how do you like this style?
